How Can Technology Break Barriers and Create a More Inclusive Future?
In 2025, the ‘She Rewires’ will officially launch in Qingdao!
From its initial presence in 14 cities to now expanding to even more locations, our mission remains the same: to connect women in STEAM, ignite creativity, and explore how technology can change the world. This time, we are focusing on "accessibility" as a starting point, initiating a unique and meaningful conversation.
Why "Tech x Disability Inclusion"?
In this rapidly advancing technological era, we often focus on cutting-edge breakthroughs, but we frequently overlook the profound impact that technology can have on different communities. Accessible technology is not just an assistive tool; it is an important bridge that connects people to society and enables true equality.
How can we use technology to break down information barriers?
How can we create a more inclusive society?
How can we balance innovation with humanistic care? These are the questions we need to address together.
Starting from Qingdao
Connecting to a Broader Future
Qingdao, a vibrant coastal city, is gradually becoming a hub for technological innovation and social transformation. We have chosen to launch here because we want to gather like-minded women in STEAM and allies who are not only exploring cutting-edge technologies but also applying them to social realities, driving true impact. This event is not only the beginning of the Qingdao community but also a deep reflection on technology and social responsibility.
A Special Dialogue in a Unique Café
On the afternoon of March 1st at 17:00, we will gather in a café run by an 85-year-old grandmother in Qingdao, where we will discuss "Technology Empowering Disability Inclusion." Using real-world case studies, we will immerse ourselves in the challenges of accessible information and explore how technology can become a crucial driver for integrating people with disabilities into society.
This is not just a clash of ideas, but also the first co-building event for the Qingdao women in STEAM community. We look forward to your participation as we explore how technology can make the world a better place!
